As the need for resources like food and energy and the competition for maritime space are only increasing, the world needs to rethink and to find new ways to meet those rising human demands. The project Win@sea will investigate if production of fossil-free energy in an offshore wind farm can coexist with production of seaweed and mussels. Thus, multiuse at sea which at the same time allows for an efficient and sustainable exploitation of the sea and maritime areas to find out if those will benefit from multiuse as well. This EU-founded project is a collaboration between many different professions working together for the next 4 years to research and rethink. Read more about the project below.
