The SeaFree consortium met at the Kattegatcentret in Grenaa for its 6th General Assembly.
Partners from academia and industry reviewed progress across all work packages — from food safety and production optimization to market development and life cycle assessment.
During the guided tour at the Kattegatcentret, participants explored a large Pure Algae Denmark Valuefarm Tower cultivating sea lettuce in nutrient-rich effluent water from the aquariums — a setup that mirrors the principles of the SeaFree project.
A seaweed-based lunch rounded off the visit perfectly, connecting research with real-life taste.
